Dzh. Dudayev killed 18 years ago

Late in the evening of 21 April 1996, the first President of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria Gen. Dzhokhar Dudayev was martyred (Insha'Allah) as a result of a terrorist attack.
The rocket strike on Dudayev occurred while he was speaking on a satellite phone in a deserted locale near the village of Gekhi-Chu in western Chechnya.
The Russian leadership hoped that by killing Dudayev, Chechen resistance will be broken and the war would be quickly wrapped up in favor of the occupational army.
However subsequent events showed that the Kremlin's hope was not destined to come to fruition. The occupiers were driven out of Chechnya.
As a result of the new invasion of the Russian infidels, the Jihad spread to all parts of the North Caucasus.
It has been established that the terrorist attack against Dudayev was coordinated by the intelligence services of the US and Russia and that high-ranking military and political leaders of both countries were directly implicated.
According to one version, the coordinates of Dudayev's whereabouts were transferred to the Russian side on the direct orders of the Clinton administration and the National Security Agency (NSA), who were listening in on the satellite phone conversations of the Chechen president, using the "INMARSAT" system.
In addition it was established that order to carry out for the terrorist attack was given directly by Yeltsin. The organizers and executioners of the terrorist attack were awarded the Gold Star of the Heroes of Russia by Yeltsin himself.
