Russia vs. Ukraine. Hot and Cold Wars
4/16/2014 3:27:04 PM
On the background of shootings, captures of administrative buildings, military aggression, terrorist acts, murders and kidnappings, Russia is carrying out a sophisticated Cold War against Ukraine.
Russian KGB media distributed a report that Russian terrorists in Donbass, whom Putin's propaganda calls "militia" allegedly seized 6 APCs from the Ukrainian army.
Video clips of the seizure have been posted on YouTube. The "militia" themselves announced that "Ukrainian soldiers defected to the Donetsk republic".
In one of the scenes, there are "Ukrainian soldiers surrendering" under the applause of "local citizens".
Another clip shows that "the captured Ukrainian army armored vehicles arrived in Slavyansk".
Earlier, photojournalists filmed armored vehicles in Kramatorsk and Slavyansk with Russian flag on them.
Meanwhile, the command of Ukrainian armed forces denied all these information.
A statement by the acting defense Mmnister Mykhail Koval categorically denies the information about the seizure of the vehicles, insisting that Russian combat vehicles are moving ti Donetsk region.
The Acting Head of Press and Information of the Ministry of Defense Bohdan Senik explained that all the photos and videos allegedly confirming the capture, are a fake. He pointed out that the board numbers on the vehicles are erased, and the filming was conducted elsewhere.
The statement was defuted by Guardian's journalist Luke Harding who wrote on his twitter:
- Images of hijacked armoured personnel carriers with Russian flag genuine. I saw (and photographed) them.
Later, Ukrainian authorities stated that the APCs were used with Russian flags to penetrate military units captured by Russian terrorist gangs of GRU and Special Operations Forces.
Meanwhile, the Security Service of Ukraine (aka SBU) captured more than 20 Russian terrorists from the gang "GRU of Russia". The agents' network in Ukraine was created 2 to 3 years ago, said the head of the SBU Nalyvaychenko, speaking on Wednesday at a closed session of the parliament.
Earlier, the secretary of the national security and defence council of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy also confirmed in conversation with journalists the arrest of 23-25 Russian GRU officers.
