U.S. deploys B2 Stealth Bombers to Europe
4/27/2014 11:41:59 AM
The United States today deployed three B2 Stealth Bombers to Europe due to growing tensions with Russia involving Ukraine, reports Turner Radio Network.
"Since the Russians will not take phone calls from Defense Secretary Hagel or President Obama, we have no choice but to send a message in a language they will understand", said a Pentagon spokesman.

Meanwhile, Obama has urged the EU to coordinate sanctions against Russia. He it said at a press conference in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, where he's on official visit.
According to Reuters, Obama stressed the importance of coordination between the US and the EU with imposing of broad sectoral sanctions - before announcing them, the US needs to know what steps Europe wants to take.
He urged Russia to stop "destabilizing actions" in the south-east of Ukraine, and stressed the importance of taking further steps aimed at warning Russia from actions in the region.
"It would be wrong to think that it would be effective if US went ahead alone without the Europeans on sectoral sanctions", Obama said. According to him, "the best way is unified message".
As expected, the US and the EU will announce new sanctions on Monday: EU plans to expand "black list" of Russian officials, and the US in addition to the sanctions on "influential people" do not preclude restrictions on the work of individual Russian companies.
On the eve of a telephone conversation between Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and US secretary of state John Kerry again showed a difference in approach. The ringleader of Putin's foreign ministry announced brazenly the arrested Russian terrorists "political prisoners" and urged the US to "use their influence for the release of arrested leaders of the protest movement".
This happened against the backdrop when Russian terrorists captured OSCE personnel in Slovyansk, declared them spies and said they will be exchanged for terrorists arrested by Ukrainian authorities.
