Crimean Tatars should wage Jihad in Crimea, their Mujahideen advise

*** The Emir of Jaish al-Muhajireen wal Ansar/Army of Emigrants and Supporters (AES), Salahuddin Shishani and his deputy, Abdul Karim Krymsky (a Crimean Tatar) appear in a new video by Akhbar Sham, in which they set out their views on the offensive in Layramoun, the Crimea, and jihad.
Salahuddin opens by talking about Layaramoun, an offensive led by AES, Jabhat al-Nusra/Victory Front (VF) and the Jabhat al-Islamiyya/Islamic Front (IF).
- For 2 years it was really unsuccessful [i.e. attempts to take Layramoun]. The FSA were not able to make progress. The infidels controlled this territory. They shot at the whole area from there and they attacked women and children.
- With the help of Allah, we AES and our brothers the Uzbek foreign fighters and Saifullah al-Chechen group, and other brigades, led an action that was very successful.
- With Allah's help we took that territory.
- Because we liberated that territory the people are much more free to move around.
- We are moving further and further ahead, we have had a front there for 2 months now, we are advancing and taking territory.
- We have surrounded the Shabiha mukhabarat headquarters [the air force intelligence base], actually all the territory is under our control.
- If Allah wishes it we will also take that mukhabarat building. That's what we are about to do. We will continue to the end.
- We ask our brothers and sisters and ansars and muhajireen to make Dua for us.
- Fighting with our brigade, Jaish Muhajireen, in Layramoun were Ansars [local Syrians] who were very worthy and very firm standing against the infidels. They gave good results.
- Yesterday we also had good results. The brothers actually worked all night. And they took another 5-6 buildings, big, major buildings. They will continue today but another group will replace them.
Abdul Karim Krymsky:
- Every day brothers come to fight in the brigade and thank Allah there are enough brothers for the fight in Layramoun. They come with military experience and knowledge of weapons and tactics. The quality of brothers is very high.
- Lots of brothers are tired of the fitna that is going on and that's why they choose AES because we don't help either side.
- Lots of people think that Allah gave us the success in Layramoun because AES does not take part in the fitna in any way, shape, or form. As an example, now we have to fight as joint forces, and carry out actions against the infidels. And we see the blessing that Allah gave us — the brigade is growing and territories are opening up.
- Krymsky talks about the local people in Layramoun, saying that when AES entered the area that had been bombarded by Assad's forces, they were given a warm welcome. "There was food that had been prepared." Though he says he was surprised that people were living in the area.
- Krymsky shows a map of Layramoun and says that there was a political prison there in which many people were imprisoned. "Political brothers who were there because of Islam". He explains various areas on the map – an Assad military base, Baath Party buildings, apartments for officials. He says the fighters also took documents from the area.
- He now talks about buildings to the south. "We learned that the infidels suffered losses of 700 dead." "When we did a reconnaissance here, we found a great many Iranian corpses".

- He explains that the sector in which the Iranian corpses were found is a very strategic area, with a road leading off to Aleppo. There was a high concentration of Assad militias and soldiers guarding the area, and there were also women there, he says.
Salahuddin:
- Ansars and also Muhajireen [foreign fighters] are helping us. We are taking territory after territory.
- We have two training camps. These training camps train a lot of ansars [local Syrians]. There are a lot of young people, 13, 14, 15 and 16. We have been training them for about 6 months, young people who are entering our brigade as ansars. We teach these young people the religion of Allah, the Quran and the Sunnah. They also go to the training camp for preparations and after 6 months they to go the ribat. After they guard the ribat we take them to the front…. Today or tomorrow they'll graduate and there will be a new generation to take those places.
- We also have about 300 children who we teach the Quran and the Sunnah.
- After the fitna there was a big protest and problems and we opened a school, there is also a second place that has about 50 little kids in it. They will also learn the Quran and Sunnah.
- And in this way we want to establish Sharia and Dawat by teaching children from the Ansars the religion of Allah
— A good question: a question about Crimea and also events in Ukraine. We're in Syria, and it once again shows us that the path of Muslims is not to sit and wait for the benevolence of the infidels, but actually to establish [inaudible] wherever we are.
- To those Muslims in Crimea, I want to say that you should not believe the promises about a good life, and I don't know, other stuff about life there.
Krymsky talks about how Muslims in Crimea should rise up.
- There don't have to be any specific conditions for jihad, like nature, or mountains or whatever. Look [he points to the map of Layramoun] these are urban conditions, military compounds and residential areas, it's enough to wage jihad.
- You have to open up lands yourselves and defeat the infidels.
- We see now that Muslims, Tatars, who went to Crimea and Ukraine have reached such a level of humiliation while here Muslims are proud and walk around freely and we simply see the difference in that.
- I want to say to those brothers, and I am addressing those brothers who remain [in Crimea], that they should feel dignity, so that they can start on the path of jihad. So if they can't come to the lands of Islam, like Sham [Syria], they can go to Moscow because the infidels there and here won't rest until they destroyed your religion.
- Our neighbors in the Caucasus, in Chechnya, they are waging jihad, but there were people who thought that through the path of negotiations, through international organizations, I don't know what… I think that these people are mistaken, here we have leadership by the Quran and the Sunnah.
- It's the only place in the Soviet space where the banner of Tawhid has been raised.
Krymsky praises the Caucasus and says that he hopes the Crimean Tatars will also follow this path of jihad and establish the law of Allah in Crimea.
