Syria's Army of Emigrants counterattacks infidels at Aleppo Central Prison area
5/26/2014 9:46:31 AM

The command of Jaish al-Muhajireen wal Ansar/Army of Emigrants and Supporters (AES) report on a successful counterattack in the area of the Aleppo Central Prison, where infidels advanced several days ago, passing through the Sheikh Najjar, reports Akhbar Sham.

On Sunday, after morning prayers, AES's assault units, with aided by local supporters and units of Ahrar ash-Sham/Free Men of Levant (FML), went on a counterattack in the village of Jubeileh, which is adjacent to Aleppo Central Prison.

After breaking the Assadites' defense, the Mujahideen managed to enter the village and staged during several hours a severe assault that knocked the enemy out. Infidels fled the populated area and holed up in buildings, several hundred meters from Jubeileh.

Infidels suffered high fatalities and casualties. Prisoners were also taken.

During the battle, infidels mistakenly launched a massive attack firing at their own soldiers. At the moment of the publication, the battle continues.

The general command of the military operation against the infidels at the Central Prison, Sheikh Najjar, etc, lays with the AES.

As part of AES, the Iraqi group, Ansar al-Islam/Supporters of Islam (SI), is also fighting. It takes the most active part in the assault operation.

Infidels broke through to the Central Prison on 22 May. Jabhat an-Nusra/Victory Front (VF) and the Jabhat al-Islamiyya/Islamic Front (IF) retreated, and a mobile group of the AES [fighters] was urgently moved from Layramoun (aka Balleramoun), and managed to fortify the Tel Haylan village and stop the infidels' advance.

This group provided a springboard for concentration of Mujahideen forces and a subsequent offensive.

During the past 48 hours, a group of Mujahideen concentrated its forces under theAES leadership, and started a counterattack operation on 25 May.

Heavy fighting is also ongoing in the Sheikh Najjar region. The Mujahideen clash with the infidels, using heavy machine guns and mortars.
