The Daily Telegraph: Don't cave in. Stand up to the bully
7/22/2014 3:17:44 PM

Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported in the article "World eyes finally see the real Putin" about a new Russian horrific crime against humanity. The newspaper writes:

"Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and all his Coalition and parliamentary colleagues, have demonstrated admirable moral clarity over the Malaysia Airlines atrocity.

In the face of an abysmal Russian response to so much pointless bloodshed, Abbott has led a clear-eyed and potent reaction from Australia. That reaction has included the wholehearted support of Abbott's political rivals in the Labor Party and the Greens, who have impressively put aside partisan feuding for the higher purpose of achieving justice.

Justice will not begin to be delivered until the remains of Australia's 36 victims — 28 Australian citizens and eight permanent residents — are returned to their loved ones. Presently, those remains are being violated with every extra minute that they are left on disputed Ukrainian soil, under the erratic control of what appears to be drunken Russian garbagemen.

As a first priority, those bodies must be seized and relocated to a safe location from which they can then be transferred to Australia. Beyond that point, Australia and the world can seek a proper judicial punishment for the criminals who authorised and carried out this brutal mass murder.

Neither process will be easy. Many bodies are left in what is effectively a crime scene now tainted by interference from Russian forces. The location of MH17's flight recorder is unknown. Many personal belongings and other potential pieces of evidence have been looted by individuals whose actions have not drawn censure from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Prime Minister Abbott yesterday said that there has "been no genuine remorse and regret" from Putin. "Humanity and decency demands it," Abbott said.

Putin, however, appears immune to these elements. So too do his henchmen in the Ukraine. As Sydney Bishop Peter Comensoli said yesterday at a remembrance mass for the flight's hundreds of victims: "The downing of MH17 was not an innocent accident, it was the outcome of a trail of human evil."

Such evil, the bishop said, "will try to hide, obfuscate, deny. But by the light of day the true picture will be seen."

(It is to be recalled that for over 15 years, the Kavkaz Center has been writing that Russia is a Satanic country, but no one paid attention to our warnings - KC).

It is already becoming clear, and it reveals Putin and his like for the callous monsters that they are. The light of the world is on them now. They have nowhere to hide.

Europe has historically been intimidated by Russia. To an extent, that intimidation is understandable. Russia is geographically larger than all European nations combined, and for decades as the USSR it dominated eastern Europe's communist nations with an iron fist.

Now, much of Europe is dependent on energy from Russian sources (not Russian but Siberian, Siberians are an oppressed nation under the Russian yoke- KC), which explains — at least in part — the lame responses from European leaders following Vladimir Putin's latest outrage.

But there surely must come a point when even Europe declares that enough is enough, and bands together to condemn what has become a rogue state.

(Russia has always been, is and will be a rogue state until it is destroyed to the ground, with all its giblets, now and ever, and unto ages of ages - KC).

After all, the United States managed to maintain its spine even throughout the Cold War, when the bulk of Soviet nuclear weapons were aimed at American targets. Ronald Reagan and previous US presidents stared down the Russian threat. And they prevailed.

A great deal was at stake during the Cold War, which at several points threatened to erupt into an all-out thermonuclear cataclysm. A great deal is at stake currently, with the civilised rights of humankind dashed to the ground by reckless and hateful Russian-backed forces.

The key to victory is the same as it was in Reagan's day. Don't cave in. Stand up to the bully. To that end, sadly, the world has little support from the United Nations. Victorian Premier Denis Napthine said yesterday: "The UN needs to show some backbone for a change and actually do something to make sure that this is properly investigated."

This is not likely. The UN is also frightened of Russia. The battle may once again fall to nations that know the true worth of liberty".
