Democratic America urges democratic Russia to return Crimea to democratic Ukraine
7/15/2014 3:16:26 PM

Democratic America urges democratic Russia to return Crimea to democratic Ukraine, American democratic foreign ministry said.

"The United States' goal throughout the crisis in Ukraine has been to support a democratic Ukraine that is stable, unified, secure both politically and economically, and able to determine its own future..

Therefore, we support ongoing dialogue among the foreign ministers from Ukraine, Germany, France, and Russia to work toward a sustainable ceasefire by all parties in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions in eastern Ukraine that would build toward a lasting peace", the democratic statement says

At the same time American ministry stressed that the ultimate goal of its country is not just a temporary halt to violence.

"We want Russia to stop destabilizing Ukraine and occupying Crimea, a part of Ukraine's territory, and allow all of the people of Ukraine to come together to make their own decisions about their country's future through a democratic political process", the ministry said.

The democratic ministry also issued a statement in which it accused democratic Russia of supplying heavy weapons to democratic Russian terrorists operating in the south-east of democratic Ukraine.

"We assess that Russia continues to provide them (Russian terrorists - KC) with heavy weapons, other military equipment and financing, and continues to allow militants to enter Ukraine freely", said in a statement of the American Foreign Ministry.

The ministry also said that Russia continues to pull its troops to the border with Ukraine, including a "more modern means of defense".

"We are concerned that significant amounts of equipment were sent to the separatists. This equipment includes tanks of a type no longer used by the Russian military, as well as armored vehicles, multiple rocket launchers, artillery, and air defense systems", says the US State Department.

This statement was made on the eve of opening of the democratic EU summit on Wednesday, where democratic America intends to seek tougher coordinated sanctions against democratic Russia.

Democratic OSCE has previously promised to increase the number of observers in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine, and perhaps begin to monitor the Russian-Ukrainian border using aircraft drones, said Democratic Germany's foreign ministry.
