KATYN 2. Widow of Russian-murdered Polish general addresses to families of Russian-murdered Boeing passengers

According to Polish media outlets, Eva Blasik, the widow of the Polish air force chief Gen. Blasik, who was killed in the Russian terrorist attack on 10 April, 2010 at Smolensk, wrote an open letter to families of passengers killed in the Russian terrorist attack in Ukraine on 17 July, 2014. The letter was read at an August 8 meeting of the Polish Parliamentary Commission of the Investigation of the Smolensk disaster.
The letter says:
Ladies and gentlemen!
First of all, we would like to express our deepest condolences to families of those whose beloved ones died in the crash of the Malaysian Boeing.
When the Polish government Tu-154M crashed in April 2010, no one could understand how it could happen to the plane with the most important people in Poland. All subsequent series of propaganda activities on the part of the Russians and unfair reckless Poles exceeded our most pessimistic expectations.
My late defenseless husband and I personally have been attacked by outrageous lies and cornered from all sides. The Russians scandalously tried to tell that the responsibility for this disaster was with the Polish side.
In order to conceal the true causes of the tragedy, the Russian MAC Commission falsely accused my husband, General of the Polish Army, commander of Polish Air Force, and a NATO officer - that he, under the influence of alcohol, put pressure on the pilots. After a few months of careful investigation, it was proved that it was a cruel deception of the Russian propaganda.
Now we hear exactly the same thing about the tragedy with the Malaysian passenger Boeing where nearly 300 innocent people were killed. The administration of the Russian president Vladimir Putin is trying to convince the world that Ukraine is the guilty party for this tragedy.
You are in a much better position than we were four years ago because you have support not only from your own government but also from other Western countries. We, widows, mothers, daughters, sons, husbands, brothers, the parliamentary group and independent media have been personally attacked with regard to events in Smolensk.
We never believed these false and tendentious Russians.
Immediately after the death of our beloved ones, we have entered into an unequal battle for the truth. We will continue to investigate and fight until the world knows the truth about the tragedy of April 10, 2010.
The photographs of the Malaysian Boeing and the Tu-154M, and the behaviour of the Russians have much in common. Therefore, we declare our readiness to cooperate in explaining the causes of both accidents.
We are confident that together we will bring those responsible to justice, and that the truth about the death of our beloved ones will be known to the whole world.
