Russia, the home of traitors

Russian thug Putin granted the fugitive US spy Edward Snowden another three years of residency in Russia, where he is hiding from justice after leaking State secrets that have imperilled national security in Britain and America.
Eventually – like those egregious British traitors Kim Philby, George Blake and Donald Maclean before him – he could be given permission to stay in Russia permanently, as an apparent reward for his treachery against the West.
Plainly, Snowden has no moral problem being beholden to a gangster president who holds democracy in contempt and whose hands are soaked in blood.
But how do those liberal newspapers which have made a hero of Snowden square this fact with their own feted moral consciences?
