New Ukrainian president appeals to Obama asking for direct military technical aid
5/29/2014 1:41:28 AM
Ukraine needs a direct military aid from Obama, said Ukraine's president-elect Poroshenko (his name was Walzman before he took the name of his Ukrainian wife) in an interview to Washington Post.
"We should cooperate in military technical assistance and in advising assistance. We are ready to fight for independence, and we should build up the armed forces of Ukraine", said Poroshenko.
He explained that western sanctions in response to Moscow's policy towards Ukraine were not efficient enough.
He urged America to conclude a new agreement with Ukraine in the field of security and give it a direct military aid. According to him, there could be, perhaps, more Russian aggression against Ukraine. In this case, the sanctions will not help, and the present ones do not impress at all.
Poroshenko also recalled the Lend-Lease program, which America had during the last war in Europe to help the bloody tyrant Stalin, delivering to the Russian thug ammunition, equipment and strategic raw materials, thus helping him to invade Eastern Europe, including Ukraine.
According to Poroshenko, American direct military aid programs such as Lend-Lease could be really effective. However, he remembered the words of the then American president Rosenvelt that "when your neighbor's house is burning, you should lend him your hose".
America is a neighbor of the Russian-occupied Arctic Siberian Eskimo country of Chukotka bordering northern Alaska.
Moreover, Poroshenko made it clear he was ready to negotiate with the Russian aggressor, saying that "he knows Putin quite well".
Meanwhile, American senator Cruz also believes that America must provide direct military assistance to Ukraine. Cruz said it in Kiev in an interview with to American government propaganda radio of RFE / RL.
In his opinion, America should give Ukraine all the tools and equipment necessary to protect itself, including military weapons.
Cruz says that America should support Ukraine and speak out against Russian military action, against the Russian invasion of Ukraine and active attempts to undermine its security against the fact that it sends militants causing bloodshed and violence that undermine the stability of Ukraine.
