Pentagon accuses Russia of waging war against Ukraine

The Pentagon said that Russia increases the number of its troops on the border with Ukraine and do not see in Putin's statements a real deescalation of the conflict.
A statement by the commander of NATO forces in Europe, Philip Breedlove, that in light of Russia' aggressive behavior in Ukraine the NATO is ready to defend its European partners. The general pointed out that Russia not only supported Russian terrorists, but was also sending special forces to Ukraine.
"The actions on the ground speak for themselves. There is a good rhetoric there. There are some good words about a cease-fire and peace, but what we see is a continued conflict, a continued support of the conflict from the eastern side of the border, and until we see those things turn around, I think we need to watch them with a wary eye", said Gen. Breedlove.
He also said that the US noteced on the eastern borders "more than 7 battalions of Russian troops and a large number of small special forces, which does not help resolve the situation".
Earlier, US officials stated that they would take measures for further isolation of Russia, if it does not stop its aggression against Ukraine.
