Will E.U. cut off hands of Russian thievish blackmailers?
4/23/2014 9:02:19 PM

The Times reported in the article "West seeks to end Putin stranglehold over energy on the situation on the energy front of the Second Crimean War. The newspaper writes in particular:

"Britain is to lead an international effort to stop Russia from using its (not its, but stolen from enslaved Siberians - KC) vast natural energy supplies to hold the world to ransom.

As (illegitimate - KC) president Putin continues to stoke fears of civil war in Ukraine, energy ministers are preparing to weaken his power by reducing reliance on Russian gas.

"There have been at least two, if not three, occasions in recent times when Russia has sought to use its energy superpower status in quite an aggressive manner", said Ed Davey, the British energy secretary, speaking before a summit for G7 countries next month.

Europe gets a quarter of its gas from Russia and half of that passes through Ukraine.

Gazprom, Russia's (thievish - KC) gas giant, said this month that the price of Ukraine's gas could rise by 44 per cent.

"It can't be right for Russia to hold individual countries to ransom. This is an issue we cannot allow to go off the table", Mr. Davey said.

Mr. Davey is right double time: Putin accustomed to the fact that as soon as he pulls out his trump gas card everyone around respectfully bow.

Kremlin's inclinations are already clear for everyone - to harass and mock. So be it: it is time for the civilized countries to show that harassment will not bring the desired result.

Ministers from the G7 countries are expected to agree to accelerate the development of alternative gas supplies, increase storage, build more electricity interconnectors and even restart mothballed nuclear reactors.
