AES counterattacks infidels at Aleppo Central Prison
5/26/2014 9:46:31 AM

The command of Jaish al-Muhajireen wal Ansar/Army of Emigrants and Supporters (AES) report a successful counterattack in the area of the Aleppo Central Prison, to which the infidels broke through several days ago, passing through Sheikh Najjar, reports Akhbar Sham.

On Sunday, after morning prayers, AES's assault units, with support from local supporters and also units of Ahrar ash-Sham/Free Men of Levant (FML), went on the counterattack in the village of Jubeileh, which is adjacent to the Aleppo Central Prison.

Having broken the Assadites' defense, the Mujahideen managed to enter the village and over several hours conducted a severe assault that knocked them out. The infidels fled the populated area and holed up in buildings several hundred meters from Jubeileh.

The infidels suffered many dead and wounded. Prisoners were also taken.

During the battle, the infidels mistakenly launched a massive fire attack using Gvozdikas at their own soldiers. At the moment of publication, the battle continues.

The general management of the military operation against the infidels at the Central Prison, Sheikh Najjar, etc, is under AES.

As part of AES, the Iraqi group, Ansar al-Islam/Supporters of Islam (SI) is fighting, which is also taking a most active part in the assault operation.

The infidels broke through to the Central Prison on 22 May. After the Assadites broke through and Jabhat an-Nusra/Victory Front (VF) and the Jabhat al-Islamiyya/Islamic Front (IF) retreated, a mobile group of AES [fighters] were urgently transferred from Layramoun (aka Balleramoun), and managed to fortify the Tel Haylan village and stop the infidels' advance.

This group provided a springboard for the concentration of the Mujahideen forces and the subsequent offensive.

During the past two 24 hour periods, under AES leadership, a group of Mujahideen were gathered, which started the counterattack operation on 25 May.

Heavy fighting is also ongoing in the Sheikh Najjar region. The Mujahideen are clashing with the infidels, using heavy machine guns and mortars.
