Russian dissident condemned Austria for appeasement of Russian foe, before being murdered by Putin
7/12/2014 10:24:59 PM
A bad peace will be bad for Ukraine. To have a good peace, a lot of blood is to be shed, a Russian dissident leader Valeria Novodvorskaya said in an article published outside Russia on June 27, two weeks before she was poisoned by Putin in Moscow on July 12, 2014.
She said, among other things:
Austrians' mind-sets were influenced by their incorporation into Germany in 1938 and collaboration with WWII winners. Now, Austria is ready to turn the blind eye to Putin's aggression – all for the sake of cheap gas pumped by the Southern Stream.
The worst-case scenario for Ukraine will be like this: Donbas will remain the biggest brake on the country's way to reform, and terrorists will keep scaring NATO so much that the alliance will be unwilling to accept Ukraine.
If the terrorists get an amnesty, they will get elected to local governments and Ukrainian parliament. They will not work in car repair or mines. They will uproot the Ukrainian spirit and have Russian-language schools.
Putin will get the good peace, with starving and weak Russia begging Ukraine on its knees to send some food," Valeria Novodvorskaya said.
